Inspired by the fascinating life of Emma Hamilton and her performances of 'Attitudes'; Lenka Horakova and Anna Kompaniets of Akleriah, in collaboration with filmmaker Jason Wen and Drama lecture and theatre director Jillian Wallis and her University of Greenwich students, resurrect Emma Hamilton's story in relation to the contemporary female.

Mixing contemporary and traditional devices, audience will be taken on a journey into the world of a person whom, 'once-upon-a-time', was the most famous woman from England. Though she bore the only child of England's ninth most popular figure of all time, Admiral Nelson, she was a remarkable and historic person in her own right: a trendsetter, a fashion icon, artists' muse, a celebrity loved and admired by the men and women of Europe; the amazing and tragic Lady Emma Hamilton.

Intrigued by Emma's rise from poverty to fame and her ultimate fall, the piece looks at the relevance of 'Attitudes' today. Through symbolism and iconography, questions are raised about the fragility of her character, the significance men have played in her life, as well as her innermost feelings, seeking to draw parallels to women today.
